Fresh Meat Poultry & Game

Everyone at Simon’s Butchers is passionate about the quality, the service, but most of all about the taste of our meat. We only stock Beef, Pork & Lamb from local farms & suppliers. We are committed to animal welfare, and ensuring that the products we supply have been reared and slaughtered to the highest welfare standards. We work with suppliers who minimise animal stress in farming and slaughtering, to give assurance of flavour and taste. Produce is sourced from Red Tractor-assured food standard suppliers – a mark of safe, quality food in which the public can trust. We operate full traceability across our supply chain from farm to fork ensuring all products delivered can be traced back to source.Our quality poultry is sourced from Ruskington Poultry near Sleaford and we sell whole chicken, either free range or barn reared, together with chicken fillets, diced chicken and chicken strips.

We also stock a small range of game bird products throughout the year (mostly in our freezer) however during the actual game season we sell fresh products when we can.

Ham & Bacon

We have a wide selection of quality ham and bacon. We dry-cure much of our bacon ourselves, in the old fashioned way, by rubbing salt and cure into the meat. This ensures that the product is not salty, however, we do have to buy in some bacon from other quality English Bacon suppliers, due to the nature of the product.

Sausages

Many of our fantastic range of sausages are prize winners, they are made by using only the best cuts of meat, fresh herbs and seasonings where possible, and all our sausages are linked by hand using natural pig and sheep casings. Many of our sausages are International and National award winners.

Ready Meals

All our ready meals are made on the premises and use only the finest ingredients and many are European and National award winners. We offer game, vegetarian, chicken, pork, lamb and beef ready meals many of which can be cooked straight from frozen.

Jams & Pickles

We also sell our own label top quality jams, marmalades, curds, pickles and chutneys which are all made for us, all of which are of a very high quality, and which would grace any table.

Cooked Meats

We have a large range of cooked meats which are all prepared in our kitchen, there are two types of ham, one of which is our Gold Award Honey Roast, Roast Beef, Turkey, Tongue plus others, but we must not forget to mention our Lincolnshire Stuffed Chine and Award Winning Lincolnshire Haslet.

Pies & Pastries

Our selection of award winning puff pastry pies are all made on the premises in our kitchen, using the best quality hand-diced meat and the finest ingredients including delicious home-made gravy. Our award winning pork pie is made from deliciously seasoned minced Lincolnshire pork, encased in a crisp home made hot water crust pastry.

Puddings Tarts & Plum Bread

We sell traditional Lincolnshire Plum Bread from Modens of Spilsby, Cartmel Sticky Toffee Puddings from Cumbria and delicious home-made puddings and tarts made by ourselves.

Fish

We have recently started to stock our fellow “Tastes of Lincolnshire” member Chapman’s of Grimsby fish products. Chapman’s fish products are proving to be very popular with our customers and the products range from handmade fishcakes through to Salmon Wellington. All Chapman’s fish products are of excellent quality and most can be cooked from frozen so making them a great standby to have in the freezer.
